D-Day: Utah Beach to Omaha Beach

OVERVIEW

Utah Beach was the code name for the right flank, or westernmost, of the Allied landing beaches during the D-Day invasion of Normandy, as part of Operation Overlord on 6 June 1944. 
 
Omaha Beach was the code name for one of the five sectors of the Allied invasion of German-occupied France in the Normandy landings on 6 June 1944.

In honor to a million plus Americans who landed in Normandy to bring back freedom and democracy you will start your private guided visit from the furthest point, Utah Beach, where the 4th Infantry Division landed with 28,000 men. 
 
You will enjoy a drive through the narrow country lanes used by the paratroopers of the 82nd and 101st Division and reach Ste Mere Eglise where you can visit the American Airborne museum. 
 
Free time for lunch.
 
You will continue your private guided tour driving to Pointe du Hoc, the American 2nd Rangers Bn site.
 
Your next stop will be in Omaha Beach, where the 29th and the 1st Infantry Division landed with 34,000 men and visit the American interpretive centre and cemetery.
 
Time permitting you may get the chance to stop in La Cambe, one of the temporary American cemeteries in 1944 and today the largest German cemetery of Normandy.
