Delight in a day experiencing some of Tuscany’s highlights! You’ll visit the medieval town of Lucca and the famous monuments of Pisa, including the Leaning Tower, as well as a wine estate for a guided tour & tasting of Tuscan wines and olive oil.
Your private excursion provides the services of an English-speaking driver who’ll meet you at the port and assist you during your exploration of Lucca and Pisa on your own. An English-speaking winery staff member will explain the wine making process and assist you with the tasting, after which you’ll enjoy a lunch of typical local dishes.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION
The lovely and charming medieval town of Lucca is famous for its protective walls which were converted to a park and promenade in the 19th century, affording unforgettable and unique views over the countryside and town. The birthplace of composer Giacomo Pucini, Lucca boasts many lovely places to visit; its long history can be read in the town’s architecture. You can even indulge in a bit of shopping at the trendy boutiques.
From Lucca, you’ll visit a local winery to sample their wines and olive oil before enjoying a lunch of typical Tuscan cooking and products. Afterwards, you’ll head to Pisa’s “Square of Miracles” to visit some of Italy’s most famous monuments including the legendary Leaning Tower, Cathedral and Baptistery.
