You’ll spend a memorable day exploring the famous monuments of these two Tuscan cities.
First stop: Florence; with its world-famous sites like the Ponte Vecchio. Here you can explore the rich artistic and historical heritage of this once influential city. Art abounds here, not only in its impressive museums but also in its squares; Florence is truly a living museum.
Next you’ll travel to Pisa’s Piazza dei Miracoli where you’ll find Italy’s most recognizable landmarks spread upon a field of green; among them – the Leaning Tower. These monuments, built to demonstrate Pisa’s prosperity at the height of its power, are built in the unique Pisan Romanesque style, which demonstrates the influence of Mediterranean countries that Pisa traded with or conquered.
